Saint Agnes Catholic Community Governance
The healthy success of any community relies on the active participation and wise leadership of its members. From its earliest days as a parish, St. Agnes CC has had wise, pragmatic and dedicated parishioners who stepped forward- sometimes asked, sometimes moved to volunteer, sometimes summoned- to work with the pastor and the diocese to create and maintain a parish that provided its members with liturgy, pastoral care, education and opportunities for ministry. The Finance Council, Pastoral Council, Faith Formation Board and Academy Board provide governance at St. Agnes.
K of C Council #411 is pleased to announce that it has awarded donations totaling $5000 to local charities and human service organizations. The funds were awarded from the Council’s Toy & Charity Fund which is now in its 25th year providing gifts to needy children at Christmas time and offering volunteer services and financial assistance to the elderly, disenfranchised, physically challenged, veterans, and local families in need. A breakdown of the awards:
• $1500—Toys/presents for needy Dalton children
• $1000—Eagle Santa Fund
• $1800—Sr. Linda-Burkina Faso—Solar lights, batteries, fixtures
• $500—Berkshire Community Action Council
• $200—Life Teen Blessing Bags project
We extend a heartfelt thanks to our many supporters and benefactors in Dalton and throughout Central Berkshire who contributed to our programs and made our overall effort a smashing success.
