Lent is a time of renewal and conversion. During these forty days we discover where we need to change. We look to Jesus for direction. His goodness is a mirror for our lives. Like Jesus, we are invited to go into the desert away from all those things that distract us, and examine the way we live and see if there is a need for change. Our willingness to experience a change of heart will allow the love of Jesus to be more evident in us. On Easter morning we will truly be resurrection people.
“The “Word on Fire” program presents an opportunity for all members of the parish to access the entirety of Bishop Robert Barron’s ongoing work in theology and spirituality, accessibly and conveniently.
Bishop Barron is a best-selling author of numerous books, essays and articles that illuminate some of the most important questions about our faith.
Bishop Baron has contributed as a religion correspondent to all major networks.
We offer the opportunity for 40 members of our parish to access and evaluate the “Word on Fire” program for 30 days so that we can make a well-informed decision about whether the parish should subscribe on an ongoing basis.”
With Lent fast approaching, we encourage you to take this opportunity and help bring inspiration to those who need it the most. The volunteers will be providing feedback for consideration of a parish-wide subscription and will not be solicited individually.
The purpose of our Life Teen program is to encourage students to form a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through regular participation in prayer and worship, service to their church and community, continued faith formation through class instruction and “Topic Nights”, and positive social experiences with their peers.
There is a bus available from Craneville Elementary each Tuesday that class is in session. The cost is $30.00 for one child. The price for two or more in Family is $45.00. Please return bus registration and check to St. Agnes Faith Formation Office one week before class begins so that we can give an accurate list to the bus company and the school. Students not registered will not be allowed to board the bus. You can mail, drop it in my mail slot in the Pastoral Center (former convent building next to church), or the St. Agnes School main office.
